About This Trail

Following Auxier Ridge Trail to a steep descent below the cliffs, this 4.5-mile out-and-back reaches the massive Courthouse Rock formation in Red River Gorge. Metal staircases at cliff edges and exposed ridges just 20 feet wide deliver dramatic overlooks across an endless valley of sandstone and forest.

Getting There

From Slade, take KY-15 toward Campton, then turn onto KY-715. Continue to Tunnel Ridge Road and follow it to the end at the Auxier Ridge Trailhead parking circle for Courthouse Rock Trail access.
