About This Trail

A popular fire tower hike in the northern Adirondacks, about 2.2 miles to the summit with roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. The restored tower provides strong 360-degree panoramas of the St. Regis Canoe Area’s lakes and the northern Adirondack landscape. One of the more accessible fire tower climbs in the region.

Getting There

From Paul Smiths, take Route 458 north toward St. Regis Falls. Turn onto Blue Mountain Road and continue approximately 7 miles. The Azure Mountain trailhead parking is down a dirt access road on the right side of Blue Mountain Road.
