About This Trail

An Adirondack fire tower route of about 6.6 miles round-trip near Paul Smiths, climbing through boreal forest to panoramic views of the St. Regis Canoe Area and its chain of pristine lakes. The summit tower stands at 2,874 feet. Once home to one of the busiest fire observers in the park.

Getting There

From Saranac Lake, head west on Route 86 to Paul Smiths. At the four-way intersection, turn right on Route 30 and take the first left onto Keese Mill Road. The trailhead is on the left in 3 miles.
