About This Trail
Rising to 3,315 feet in Willoughby State Forest, Bald Mountain is the third-highest peak in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. A restored fire tower on the summit offers 360-degree views spanning Lake Willoughby, Seymour Lake, Lake Memphremagog, and the White Mountains. Two main trails reach the top: the Mad Brook Trail from the north and the Long Pond Trail from the south.
