About This Trail
Descending into Doughton Park along Basin Creek, this strenuous path crosses the stream 16 times past two waterfalls and remnants of the historic Basin Cove community. Trekking poles and water shoes are recommended for the rocky creek fords leading to the restored Caudill Cabin, sole survivor of a devastating 1916 flood.
