About This Trail

Branching off the Bluff Mountain Trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway near milepost 241, this one-mile path leads to exposed rock outcrops with seasonal wildflower displays. Coreopsis, Black-eyed Susans, and blankets of white blooms reward spring and fall hikers with vivid color against mountain views.

Getting There

From Sparta, take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to Milepost 241 in the Doughton Recreation Area. The Fodder Stack Trail trailhead is at the end of the road, just past the turn for the Doughton Park Picnic Area.
