About This Trail

Walk the largest undeveloped coastal peninsula between New York and Cape Cod on this 3.6-mile loop through 800 acres in Groton. The coastal reserve protects tidal wetlands, eelgrass beds, and over 200 bird species where the Poquonnock River meets Long Island Sound.

Getting There

From Groton, take I-95 to Exit 88. Follow Route 117 south to Route 1, then follow signs to Bluff Point State Park. The wide gravel trail begins at the main parking area.
