About This Trail
The most direct route up Vermont’s iconic Camel’s Hump, climbing roughly 2,280 feet over a 4.7-mile round trip from Huntington to the 4,083-foot summit. Above treeline, the exposed rocky peak offers panoramic views stretching to Mount Washington, Mount Marcy, and Mount Mansfield on clear days. The trail is closed during spring mud season to protect fragile alpine vegetation.
