About This Trail
A legendary 10.4-mile ridgeline traverse named for Professor Will Monroe, crossing three of Vermont’s five highest peaks between Lincoln Gap and Appalachian Gap. Expect exposed ridgelines with hand-over-hand scrambles up granite slabs, 8,000 feet of cumulative elevation change, and sweeping Mad River Valley views.
