About This Trail

Descending through Hot Springs National Park’s West Mountain area, this trail passes beneath massive novaculite boulders and rocky outcroppings. Steep sections lead through a canyon-like landscape with rock walls, offering unexpected wilderness within the nation’s oldest federal reserve.

Getting There

From Mountain View, take AR-14 west 12 miles to the Blanchard Springs Recreation Area turnoff. Turn right at the Blanchard Springs Caverns sign. The Canyon Trail is within the recreation area trail network.
