About This Trail

Skirting the shores of Lake Catherine in the Ouachita Mountains, this 1.5-mile path provides scenic water views through pine and hardwood forest on the lake’s south shore. Nearby trails lead to seasonal waterfalls on Falls Creek and rocky ridgelines with mountain vistas across the 2,180-acre state park.

Getting There

From Mountain View, take AR-5 south to AR-9 south. Continue south and turn west toward Blanchard Springs Recreation Area. The Lakeside Trail follows the shores of the lake near the recreation area.
