About This Trail

A short walk along the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail to a 30-foot suspension bridge spanning Clarendon Gorge, where the Mill River has carved deep pools through bedrock. The gorge serves as a popular swimming hole in summer and provides an easy, scenic introduction to the AT.

Getting There

From Rutland, take US-7 south to VT-103 east. The Long Trail/Appalachian Trail parking area is on the right side of VT-103, approximately 2.4 miles east of the US-7 intersection.
