About This Trail

Following the Tombigbee River through downtown Columbus for 4.4 well-lit miles, this paved trail features benches, shelters, and a restored 1920s swing bridge converted for pedestrian use. Hardwood forests, open fields, and a butterfly garden line the riverfront route along Mississippi’s historic waterway corridor.

Getting There

From downtown Columbus, head to the Riverwalk along the Tombigbee River. The trail is accessible from Main Street near the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in downtown Columbus.
