About This Trail
This 2.8-mile flat coastal loop circles Thompson Island in Delaware Seashore State Park, following crushed-stone paths along marsh edges between Rehoboth Bay and the Indian River. The route offers strong birding access with frequent sightings of osprey, terns, and wading birds in the surrounding salt marsh and shallow-water habitats.
