About This Trail

Part of a 36-mile equestrian complex on Holston Mountain, this gentle trail follows the base of the mountain through the Watauga Ranger District of Cherokee National Forest. Gated forest roads connect to Flint Rock’s sweeping 180-degree vista of Holston Valley and South Holston Lake.

Getting There

From Bristol, take Highway 91 south to Bluff City. Turn east on Flatwoods Road and follow it as it turns to gravel, continuing about 1 mile to a four-way gravel intersection where you can park along the road.
