Green Lakes Round Lake Trail

A 3.1-mile loop circling two rare meromictic glacial lakes near Syracuse whose turquoise waters never fully mix. Green Lake plunges 195 feet deep, a remnant of an ancient plunge pool nearly twice the size of Niagara Falls. The nearly level trail through verdant forest makes for a casual 90-minute walk.
