About This Trail

Signal Hill Trail loops 1.4 miles around the summit of Mount Magazine at 2,753 feet, the highest point in Arkansas. A 400-square-foot stone map of the state marks the peak, with less than 200 feet of elevation change through Boston Mountains forest in the Ozark National Forest.

Getting There

From Russellville, take AR-7 south toward the Ozark National Forest. The High Point Trail is a short 0.5-mile path accessible from forest roads near Mount Magazine; use GPS coordinates 35.454, -93.442 for the trailhead.
