About This Trail

Winding trail near Dardanelle built on a compact tract of land with tight switchbacks through the woods. Mostly flat hardpack with some loose rock, the only significant climb is the Power Line Loop section. Located near the banks of the Arkansas River, offering a fun, twisting walk through regenerating Ozark forest.

Getting There

From Russellville, take AR-7 south to Hector. Turn east onto AR-27 and continue to the Ozark National Forest. The Old Post Trail trailhead is accessible from Long Pool Recreation Area off AR-21.
