About This Trail
A 17-mile backpacking loop in the Ironton Ranger District of Wayne National Forest, starting from the Lake Vesuvius boat dock with sections up to 300 feet of elevation change. The route shares segments with the 8-mile Lakeshore Trail, allowing flexible trip lengths through ridge-hollow terrain with dispersed camping anywhere in the forest at no fee.
