About This Trail
A 2.5-mile loop through Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve, a sandstone gorge system similar to the Hocking Hills but far less crowded. Three connecting trails pass hemlock groves, small waterfalls, and rock formations along Salt Creek, with the preserve protecting rare plant communities in Jackson County’s Appalachian foothills.
