About This Trail
A 6.8-mile rolling route through the Ironton Ranger District of Wayne National Forest in Lawrence County, traversing ridge-hollow terrain near Lake Vesuvius. The trail passes through second-growth forest reclaiming former iron-furnace lands, with connections to the 17-mile backpack trail system and dispersed camping available throughout the forest.
