About This Trail
Shakamak State Park’s trail system loops along the shores of three man-made lakes – Shakamak, Lenape, and Kickapoo – across 1,766 acres of reclaimed coal-mining land. The lakeshore paths pass through oak woods and offer frequent views of the water with good opportunities for spotting waterfowl and shorebirds. The moderate terrain and easy access make it a relaxed outing year-round.
