About This Trail

A steep Long Trail route ascending from Lincoln Gap Road toward the summits of Mount Abraham and Mount Ellen, crossing two of Vermont’s five 4,000-foot peaks. The ridgeline sections feature iron rungs on steep pitches and panoramic views of the Mad River Valley and ski country.

Getting There

From Warren, take Lincoln Gap Road west approximately 5 miles to near the height of land. The Long Trail/Appalachian Trail crossing and parking are on both sides of the road at the gap.
