About This Trail
This 3-mile woodland loop explores the swamp-forest habitat surrounding Lums Pond, Delaware’s largest freshwater pond at over 200 acres. The trail features boardwalk sections crossing wet areas and bridges over feeder streams, passing through a canopy of red maple, sweet gum, and tupelo trees in a rich bottomland forest ecosystem.
