About This Trail
This 5-mile paved canal-side segment of the Michael N. Castle Trail runs to historic Delaware City, offering steady mileage along the C&D Canal with open water views and passing ocean-going vessels. Part of a 12.1-mile trail that sees over 200,000 annual users, the flat route connects to the Ben Cardin Trail continuing into Maryland.
