About This Trail

A 2.7-mile summit route climbing 2,514 feet up the granite monadnock of Mount Ascutney, passing Gerry’s Falls and rocky viewpoints at Castle Rock and Brownsville Rock. The 3,144-foot summit features an observation tower with 360-degree views spanning the Connecticut River Valley, Killington, and Okemo.

Getting There

From Windsor, take Route 44A west toward Brownsville. The Windsor Trail trailhead is located along Route 44A, providing the shortest hiking route at 2.7 miles to the summit of Mount Ascutney.
