About This Trail

A challenging 5.4-mile Ascutney approach gaining 2,188 feet through hardwood and hemlock forest, passing two named waterfalls including the 85-foot Cascade Falls. The year-round trailhead off Route 131 makes this a popular route for both summer hiking and winter snowshoeing to the summit tower.

Getting There

From I-91, take exit 8 and follow Route 131 west for 3.2 miles. Turn right onto Cascade Falls Road and bear left onto High Meadow Road. The trailhead is at the dead end in 0.5 miles.
