About This Trail

This one-mile trail climbs steeply over rocky staircases and granite ledge to the nearly 3,000-foot summit of Mount Kearsarge, where a fire tower offers 360-degree views across central New Hampshire. Many hikers pair it with the more gradual Barlow Trail for a 2.5-mile loop. The route gains 1,105 feet in elevation and typically takes one to two hours.
