About This Trail

Ascend via the Crawford Path, America’s oldest continuously maintained hiking trail dating to 1819, to Mount Pierce’s 4,312-foot summit in the Presidential Range. The route breaks above tree line into the alpine zone with sweeping views of the southern Presidentials and the Dry River Wilderness.

Getting There

From Crawford Notch on Route 302, park at the Crawford Depot trailhead on the west side of the road, south of the AMC Highland Center. The Crawford Path begins across the railroad tracks.
