About This Trail

Easy 0.7-mile interpretive trail departing from Hunting Island’s Nature Center, connecting to the Maritime Forest, Lagoon, and Diamondback Rattlesnake trails. A pedestrian bridge provides access to Little Hunting Island. Ranger-led programs explore barrier island ecology, with live animal exhibits at the Nature Center nearby.

Getting There

From Beaufort, take US-21 south to Hunting Island State Park. Follow the main park road to the Nature Center parking area. The Nature Center Trail loop begins at the center's entrance.
