About This Trail

Flat 10.5-mile greenway on a former Atlantic Coastline Railroad bed connecting West Ashley neighborhoods from Folly Road to Johns Island. Tidal creeks, swamp views, and abundant wildlife accompany walkers and cyclists along this mostly paved Charleston corridor.

Getting There

From downtown Charleston, cross the Ashley River on US 17 west. About a half-mile after the bridge, turn left onto Folly Road (SC 171). The trailhead is behind the South Windermere Shopping Center.
