About This Trail
A 5-mile round-trip on an old carriage road from Woodstock gaining 1,360 feet to a 60-foot fire tower built in 1950. Along the way, the massive ruins of the never-completed 1920s Overlook Mountain House emerge from the forest. The tower offers views of the Ashokan Reservoir, Hudson Valley, and Devil’s Path peaks.
