About This Trail

Short paths to scenic overlooks appear throughout Arkansas’s state parks, from Petit Jean’s CCC-built canyon platform to Pinnacle Mountain’s East Quarry spur above the Arkansas River. Quick ascents reward with sweeping views of river valleys and forested ridgelines. Ideal leg-stretchers during a day of park-hopping across the Natural State.

Getting There

From Heber Springs, take AR-25 south toward Greers Ferry Lake. The Overlook Trail is located within the Greers Ferry Lake area, accessible from the Narrows or Sugar Loaf Mountain recreation areas.
