About This Trail

This popular loop descends roughly 100 wooden steps to the base of the park’s namesake 150-foot crystalline rock bluff towering above the Cape Fear River. Wildflowers and mountain laurel line the trail along the bluffs, and a scenic overlook offers sweeping views of the river corridor and surrounding woodlands.
