About This Trail
The longest trail in Umstead State Park, this blue-blazed loop follows its namesake Sycamore Creek through bottomland hardwood forest with gentle rises and falls. Despite its length, the terrain stays manageable, making it ideal for a half-day outing in this 6,000-acre urban oasis near Raleigh. Fall foliage is especially rewarding here.
