About This Trail

An accessible 1.2-mile nature walk near Ripton where Robert Frost spent 42 summers writing at Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf campus. Poems are mounted on posts beside the natural features that inspired them, from birch groves to open meadows, with boardwalks crossing Beaver Pond and the Middlebury River.

Getting There

From Middlebury, take Route 125 east for 5.8 miles through Ripton. The Robert Frost Interpretive Trail parking area is on the right (south) side of Route 125.
