About This Trail

Starting from Dickey Ridge Visitor Center in Shenandoah’s North District, this loop passes the remains of a historic homestead including a well-preserved barn. Easy terrain through meadow and forest leads to the former Snead farmsite, with valley views along the way.

Getting There

From Front Royal, enter Shenandoah National Park via the northern entrance on Skyline Drive. Drive to the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center near mile marker 5. The Snead Farm trailhead is across Skyline Drive.
