About This Trail

A 3.6-mile moderate loop gaining 557 feet through mixed hardwood forest in Patapsco Valley State Park, crossing Soapstone Branch and several creeks. A picnic area midway offers a perfect rest stop. Connects with Bull Run and Vineyard Spring trails for longer outings.

Getting There

From Baltimore, take I-695 to US-40 west, then turn left on South Rolling Road. The Soapstone Trail trailhead is on the right just past the I-195 Park and Ride in Patapsco Valley State Park.
