About This Trail

A rim-level route offering elevated views down into the Taughannock gorge and across to the 215-foot waterfall from above. The forested trail follows the north edge of the gorge with several overlook platforms along the way. Connects to the gorge trail at the base for a full park experience.

Getting There

From Ithaca, drive north 9.5 miles on NY-89 to Taughannock Falls State Park. Park at the gorge trail parking area at 1738 NY-89. The North Rim Trail begins from the upper parking areas off NY-89.
