About This Trail
A 2-mile round-trip route to Upper Tahquamenon Falls, one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi at over 200 feet wide with a 50-foot drop. The amber-colored water gets its distinctive root-beer hue from tannins leached by cedar and hemlock trees upstream. Well-maintained trail with accessible viewing platforms.
