Winding through Canaan Valley’s iconic wetlands, this 2.4-mile loop combines boardwalks and forest paths with just 78 feet of elevation gain. Abe Run features the park’s famous elevated wood plank walkway, while Mill Run and Deer Run offer optional spur loops through the valley’s unique bog ecosystem.

Getting There

From Davis, take WV Route 32 south to Canaan Valley Resort State Park. Park at the campground and access the Abe Run, Mill Run, and Deer Run loop trails from the campground trailhead along the valley's boardwalk system.
