About This Trail
Starting from Blackwater Lodge, this moderate 2.4-mile route winds through serene spruce forest past a waterfall before reaching the park’s namesake Balanced Rock formation. Muddy conditions are common, so waterproof footwear and trekking poles are recommended for this popular Tucker County hike.
