About This Trail

A short boardwalk loop through Assateague Island’s salt marsh ecosystem with views of Sinepuxent Bay, rated among the island’s best trails for birding. Wild horses and shorebirds frequent the marsh, and the flat, accessible route is ideal for all skill levels.

Getting There

From Berlin, MD, take Route 611 south to Assateague Island National Seashore. Turn right onto Bayside Drive after the entrance station. The Marsh Trail parking lot is on the right along the bay side of the island.
