About This Trail

An accessible boardwalk through the northernmost bald cypress swamp in the United States along the Pocomoke River. The 1-mile self-guided route passes through pine, mixed hardwood, and ancient bald cypress habitat where eagles and osprey nest in the towering treetops.

Getting There

From Pocomoke City, head to Bridge Street and the city dock at Cypress Park. The boardwalk nature trail begins at the dock and winds around Stevenson's Pond to Winter Quarters Landing.
