About This Trail
Serving as the coastal terminus of South Carolina’s cross-state Palmetto Trail, this 7-mile passage winds along salt marsh edges through Francis Marion National Forest. Sweeping marsh views, an overlook boardwalk at Walnut Grove, and groves of iconic palmetto trees define this lowcountry trek near the Intracoastal Waterway.
