About This Trail

Winding through Huntington Beach State Park’s maritime forest where massive live oaks create deep shade, this boardwalk trail reaches a freshwater lagoon observation area. Shorebirds, sandhill cranes, roseate spoonbills, and occasional alligators inhabit the tidal marsh habitat along the Georgetown County coast.

Getting There

From Georgetown, take US-17 north 2 miles. Turn right at the Hobcaw Barony entrance on the left side of the highway. The Kerrigan Nature Trail is accessible from the Hobcaw Barony Discovery Center.
