About This Trail

Starting from Canaan Valley Resort’s chairlift at 4,280 feet, this 2.1-mile out-and-back gains 800 feet through dense forest before bursting onto sunny meadows. Panoramic views from Bald Knob sweep across the southern Canaan Valley and surrounding Allegheny Mountain peaks.

Getting There

From Davis, WV, take WV Route 32 south to Canaan Valley Resort State Park. The Bald Knob Trail is accessible from the park's trail system near the golf course and ski lodge. Follow park signs to the Bald Knob trailhead.
