About This Trail
A 3-mile round-trip ascent to the Russell and Miriam Grinnell Memorial Nature Sanctuary atop Bare Bluff, rising nearly 600 feet above Lake Superior on the Keweenaw Peninsula’s south shore. The summit delivers expansive views across the open lake and surrounding boreal forest. Allow 3 hours for the steep climb and return.
