About This Trail

A 1.5-mile walk through the largest remaining stand of old-growth eastern white pine in Michigan, with trees up to 300 years old measuring 3-5 feet in diameter. Two loop trails wind beneath the towering canopy, which shelters 85 bird species and 23 fern species. A peaceful, cathedral-like experience near Copper Harbor.

Getting There

From Copper Harbor, turn right on Second Street and follow it 1.2 miles. Bear left onto Clark Mine Road for 1.2 miles, then turn right on Burma Road. The Estivant Pines parking area is half a mile ahead.
