About This Trail
Cascading through a ravine of layered shale, limestone, and sandstone, Big Branch creates over a dozen waterfalls including the 30-foot Big Branch Falls. This strenuous 2-mile loop in New River Gorge requires three rocky stream crossings and rewards spring visitors with abundant wildflowers.
